As the managing agency of the State LICA Insurance Program, Prins Insurance is often asked about our role with LICA. The best way to describe it is in four parts:

We sell insurance. We are an independent insurance agency. We can and do actively solicit LICA contractors to review their insurance programs as requested by a contractor.

We help agents. We educate other insurance agencies about LICA and what they need to do to insure dirt-moving contractors. We provide marketing materials, coverage support, dividend data and a general history of LICA in their area.

We strengthen LICA. We protect the interests of each LICA state chapter. We work to increase membership, give presentations about insurance, sponsor chapter activities and train members on OSHA regulations. All this is done to develop strong relationships for years to come.

We provide direction. The feedback we give to the United Fire Group (the underwriting company for the State LICA Insurance Program) supports their efforts to provide an excellent product at a competitive price. We help by analyzing claims, reviewing coverages, taking notice of trends, watching for new products and learning about new practices and exposures from LICA contractors.

Prins offers two promises. First, we will not work on any account that is already having work done by another agent representing the State LICA Insurance Program. Second, we will help any agency that wants to know more about the benefits and history of LICA.
